The Butchery

We pride ourselves at Pengethley Farm Shop on sourcing our meats from family and local farms. Our experienced butchery team cut all meat here on site into handy sized packs for convenience and are always available to cut meat to your requirements.


Our beef comes from traditional British breeds such as Hereford, Angus, Shorthorn, Longhorn and Welsh Black. Grown by traditional methods and fed from grass based diets, the animal growth to produce quality beef. The beef is matured for 28 days on site.



Our lamb is sourced from local farms on a grass based systems. We sell a wide variety of lamb, including bone in and boneless joints, available in a variety of sizes. Lamb chops and steaks are available plain and minted. 



Our pork is from local suppliers, traditionally reared for a great flavour. We have a large selection of pork joints and products available daily.



Free-range and conventional local chicken. We have chicken thighs, breasts, whole chickens, flavoured half chickens and thighs, plus more.


We seasonally stock a large variety of game, including venison, wild boar, pheasant, partridge, grouse and guineafowl.

Hand-made Sausages

Our sausages are all hand-made here on site, we have traditional pork sausages and a range of flavoured sausages alternated weekly.


Hand-pressed Burgers

We are one of the few butchery left that still hand-press our burgers, we have traditional beef burgers, lamb burgers, pork burgers and a range of speciality burgers.
